i got back in touch with a song that i first heard from rie while in LA. it wasn’t until we went to japan to meet her parents that i realized what a beautiful song it is. on japanese programming that one evening, they had numerous japanese artists perform. i heard tegami by angela aki and instantly recognized it as the song i had heard in LA. it’s one of those rare songs that digs right into you. you don’t even have to understand what she is singing about (it’s all in nihongo except for a few words) and it makes your heart want to tear. anyway, just wanted to share this awesome song. i found a site that has a translation in english for those wonder what angela is singing about.
